[Static. Static that gives way to a blurry, shaky camera arc, clearing on a section of the wall outside of the Inner City. But like the Animus posts, there's no PCD on the other side of the recording. It just... is, transmitting itself with no apparatus.

The image eventually sharpens. A small fish- mostly green- swims in quick loops, darting around the screen. Considering all the water, it doesn't look out of place.

A single voice finally cuts in, though it fades in and out.]

Hello!

It's much brighter out here.

[Something has left the Inner City.]

I'm not much of a water person.

Do you mind if I come see you so you can show me?

[She's hesitant -- after all, the last time she reached the Inner City, she went temporarily insane. But it's a fish -- and moreover than that, it's Thalatte, who seems to be relatively peaceful and calm, in comparison to the rest of them.]

[Shooting... spikes...]

Ah -- I still have it. It just won't work very well underneath the water, it'll just boil everything... but it's the thought that counts, right?

I can show you some things, if you want. It'll take me awhile to get there... I think I know where you are.

[She blinks.]

... I can bring you to where I live and show you, if you want.

[The Animus must already know where Rei lives, anyway. Going to the Temple of Heaven and showing the small fish around won't harm anything.]

[That makes her smile a little.]

I'm pretty sure I can feel you if I get close enough -- and most of the people in this city are a little slow on the uptake. You don't have to give me directions if you don't have them.

[Rei is determined, after all, and when that happens, she manages it.]

[It waves a fin, like it's trying to be encouraging.]

You sound a lot more sensible than your comrades who live in the city.

[She's on her way -- and, with some quiet cursing, she manages to swim in a straight line. It takes some doing, though. Rei is completely and utterly out of her element.]

[The fish keeps dancing around, the water almost moving around it, to get out of its way.]

You should really give the water events a rest. No offense to your handiwork, but I've been washed out of my house twice already and being half a fish isn't my idea of a good time.

[Ah -- the tiniest ping of power. Rei twists slightly to go in a different direction.]

Small graces, I guess -- where are the others? Are they going to come, too?

[The blip of energy is getting much stronger -- and, encouraged, Rei swims a bit faster.]

No one else will go outside, then?

As long as no one's hurt, I don't think anyone will mind.

[And, suddenly, a Reimaid! Somewhat breathless and uncoordinated, but at least she's here in person.]

-- yeah, and a lot of the people here don't need to be hurt.

[The fish swims over, darting around Rei's head.]

[Rei blinks at the proximity, tilting her head a little at the feeling of -- well, just the feeling. Immense power in such a little fish. It's a bizarre feeling.]

What fell apart?

[She pauses, eyes following the fish, before she extends a hand, palm up, towards Thalatte.]
