{Unified Universe Project} [Accidental Voice Post]

[A voice is heard, one that's been heard before.]

I need numbers, dammit! How many did we lose to the Outsiders?

[Professor Anderson speaks.] Numbers don't matter here, sir. What matters is finding a way to prevent this from happening a--

Do I look like I want your opinion? I want numbers, now. And I want the stupid botanist punished. I want everyone who might have talked punished! And let me know when our people start coming back to life.

Two already have. One of them can't stop shaking, though. He got attacked by our own ro--

I. Don't. Care. Get out of my sight. And send me Greg and Matthew. I want to know how this started.

Sir.

[There's the sound of footsteps, and after a few moments the connection clicks off.]

What kind of files?

Outsiders? Charming.

...

I will send the armor, only because I'm unable to leave where I am at the moment. I have no reason to try anything.

I don't appreciate the threats, you know.

I'm in a position of power, I don't really care what you appreciate. I'm sure I'd be treated exactly the same if our positions were reversed.

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Our files.

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
It's what you are.

[identity profile] unlucky-blood.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
And you're filthy vermin but I avoid calling you that.

It's your fault we're stuck here.

And this is why the people down here don't trust, like, or respect you, and this is why you're getting absolutely no sympathy, Professor.

I've never used hostages and never will, and the fact that you'd harm one of your own, someone who hasn't hurt anything or put your project in harm's way would be used as a hostage to assure my good behavior doesn't inspire trust or goodwill.

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Color me not concerned.

[identity profile] unlucky-blood.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 01:25 am (UTC)(link)
I'll colour you cowards in a lovely shade of red when you actually grow spines.

Get your facts right, boy. And then realize I don't give a care about how you feel.

She didn't follow orders. I was going to take action that was supposed to be taken. It had nothing to do with you. You chose to get yourself involved.

By all means, underestimate me. Don't act surprised when the people who work for you start to turn on you. Playing dirty only works if you're actually worth being afraid of.

The papers will be there. Have a nice day, Professor.

....You have your own grave, they say; only people don't tend to stay in them here. Idle hands don't stay idle for very long.

I'm going by the contracts they signed. Don't think yourself some savior.

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Philosophy? A waste of time.

[identity profile] heavenly-earth.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
Dismissing it won't make it any less true.

But so you can speak, after all. You seem to have more time than usual, then. Though irregardless, you don't sound the type to have a use to talk with.
Prevent the early beginnings of war while it's possible before we begin to seek to take control of this world ourselves. Some of us would prefer to ask for your cooperation.

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:17 am (UTC)(link)
Irregardless? Yes, I really want to talk to you now.

You can try, but you're not going to succceed. We got caught by surprise. We won't again.

What would you even have to offer us?

[identity profile] heavenly-earth.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
Of course not.

Perhaps a truce of some sort could be attained with some work- though of course, I cannot speak for everyone. It would be more favorable than attacks, correct? And you cannot know the complete extent of our abilities. Some unstable powers exist here.

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
Again. If you're not offering something I want, there's no reason to work with you.

I don't think their contracts included something like this, you know.

[Voice][Private//Unhackable]

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Being here, no, but a breach in contract, yes.

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:38 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that makes me want to talk to you more.

[identity profile] heavenly-earth.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Apparently. Though it may help to know what you would want, or we cannot rightly offer it to you.
al_truism: (Crack - in ur base)

[Voice][Private//Unhackable]

[personal profile] al_truism 2009-06-05 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
And did said contract say anything about fear for bodily harm?

[identity profile] adstring-npc.livejournal.com 2009-06-05 04:43 am (UTC)(link)
I can't think of anything we need from you that we can't get ourselves.
