{Unified Universe Project}[Video]

[The image is Bao Ying again. This time she's a bit calmer, but it's clear she's still on a mission.]

My lieutenant woke up, and has identified the voice of the kidnapper from past posts on the network.

Please turn over Mello.

He abducted Cosgrave, shot him, injected him with an agent when Patrick did not give satisfactory answers, and murdered my lieutenant, who now cannot remember his fiance.

No one else will be pursued, though Patrick believes at least one other was there. Turn over the one responsible, and we also will not come out into the city.

[[ooc: A little bit of OOC info here - Bao's voice is confident because she believes this is the truth. There won't be any 'tells' or anything; she's telling the truth as she knows it.]]

We have enough evidence to point to the main culprit. If we pursue a source for the bacteria, then we have to wonder if the source knew what it was giong to be used for. I want the main culprit. We're trying to be clear - if you're central to something, you can't get away with it. I'm not after the small fries, Mr. Elric. I'm not after the "might-have-been-involveds." I am after the one we know is responsible for this chain of events.

I have extended the time limit, I have given everything asked for. And people are not working with me. We have a positive identification, and I have nothing more than a paper saying you should be reliable. There's nothing to say if you'd stall for time to help someone who may or may not be a friend. I do not know you.

Mello can be brought to the gate, or I suggest all non-combatents stay off the streets.

You misunderstand me, Colonel. I'm not proposing we go after the person who may have created this bacteria. I'm proposing we find the source so we have an answer as to who is telling the truth.

A man was killed, we can't deny that, but as of now we have no way of knowing whether Mello is guilty of kidnapping, or murder. There's a huge difference between the two.

If someone inside the inner city created this bacteria, then it would point to your men being equipped with suicide devices, something I'm sure you'll want to investigate.

If we find that someone outside the Inner City created and supplied Mello with the bacteria, then we can logically assume he would be guilty of murder.

You're suggesting that Mello injected Lieutenant Cosgrave with what, saline? He was kidnapped, punched, shot, injected, and then the video feed was sent to us of him slowly, painfully dying.

We have enough for logic.

...

I have to admit the evidence is very strong. I'm not going to stop you, but I'm not going to assist either. Mello's killed in the past. Hurt my friends. Used me as a hostage. I have no reason to shelter him.

But I suggest you obtain a full confession from him, through the means you mentioned, and verify that the suicide device is a lie. That's too big of a worry to leave to chance, and I'm thinking of a certain Colonel who cares quite a bit about his men. I know he would stop at nothing to find the people responsible, too.

Good luck, Colonel.

So we gave 24 hours for Mello to prepare for our arrival and gained nothing by it.

I'll be thorough, don't worry.

All right.
