{Unified Universe Project}[Accidental Video]

[The PCD turns on, and it's at an odd angle as if it's been knocked into. At first, all that can be heard is some humming, and the PCD only shows a sink (filled with ice?) and a heatlamp. A few moments later Caroline dances into the scene.]

And one more test for you!

[She's holding a blanket that looks similar to what was distrubuted earlier. It's currently a brownish-green. She places it under the heatlamp and holds it there for a few moments, humming "Wild Child" by Enya. When she pulls the blanket back and looks at it, the portion that was heated is clearly red-brown.]

Yes!

[Clearly enthused, Caroline dunks the blanket in the ice water, pulling her hands out and shaking them off while she waits. When she pulls it back out, it's a vibrant green.]

And I thought it would be difficult.

[Giggling, she twirls with the blanket, which knocks a stack of books into the PCD. As the PCD tumbles, she's heard to say "Oops." The feed times out.]

[Her voice is quiet, thoughtful.] We never got much in the way of snow. I think I like summer the most. You're pretty philosophical.

I think people are trying to do that. I'm not sure. I know plants. I don't know dealing with people.

Snow is not for everyone, but I find I love it's peace. Summer is a good time, sunlight and lazy afternoons. Am I?

Plants have their own language. I have a friend, back home, who grows the most amazing roses you will ever see. He tends them like a mother would her children. Every gift has a place and should be treasured. Even if you don't believe yourself a communicator for people, you connect with green things, don't you?

You are. Are you toying with me? You seem nice but you turned my statement around...

...Yes?

Not intentionally, Cara. But learning to stop being strangers is two ways.

Would you tell me something you love? Summer, a green time. Whatever strikes your fancy. You already know of my fondness for mountains and winter snows, after all.

Oh. I guess it is.

Lizards and geckos. I like to watch them playing on the wall sometimes, and as they sun themselves. It reminds me of home. Nevada. And then sometimes one wanders inside and I have company for a while before I scoop him up and let him go outside again.
